Versatile Two Channel Mic/Line Preamplifier
The two channel RU-MLA2 is a stereo or dual mono Audio Preamplifier designed with versatility in mind. Suitable for use in installed or portable sound reinforcement and recording systems, the RU-MLA2 provides the audio clarity, reliability and flexibility expected of RDL products. RU-MLA2 inputs and outputs are individually switch-selectable between mic and line level. This allows either channel to be used as a mic preamp, line amplifier, line to mic level converter or simply to provide 24 volt IEC phantom for a condenser microphone. Each channel is equipped with a user accessible front panel gain trimmer and Dual-led VU meter. Microphone inputs are provided with two switch-selectable adjustable gain settings LO (Off to 52 dB gain) and HI (Off to 69 dB gain) and switch selectable 24 V phantom (IEC 1938: 1996-12). Gain adjustment for line inputs is Off to 20 dB. Transformer isolated outputs are optionally available by ordering the RU-MLA2T. RU-MLA2 audio input and output connections can be conveniently made either via front-panel XLR’s or rear-panel detachable screw terminals. Although it is often used as a free-standing product, a variety of optional mounting solutions are available including mounts for standard 19 inch equipment racks and Middle Atlantic HRF Series Half Racks.
